Sloppy Process Service

No-o… I am not referring to my service.  All registered and licensed process servers have the legal responsibility to retain comprehensive records of service.  At Air Capital, we keep a record of all attempted and completed serves regardless of the type of case it may be.  We keep photo copies of all the Affidavit of Service , Proof of Service and Inability to Serve Process that were filed with the appropriate courts.  We also back up these filed documents with daily logs which include the who, what, where, when, manner of serve and mileage for each case.  Court records are not always perfect.  The court record system is a mix involving numerous personnel handling large volumes of electronic and paper files.  You never know when it may be necessary to prove a serve when requested in a trial, no matter how old the case is.
